On February 8, 2003, Mr. Blakeley, Mr. John Bridges, Ms. Nicole Frank, and Ms. Virginia Schmuck attended a one-day seminar with Master Choi Jang Hwa. Master Fabian Nunez hosted the seminar in Odessa, Texas. As you may already know Master Choi Jang Hwa is the son of Grandmaster Choi Hong Hi's, the founder of Taekwon-Do. Master Choi Jang Hwa focused the seven-hour seminar of fundamental movements such as sine wave in your patterns.

Eastern New Mexico Taekwon-Do attended the International Taekwon-Do Federation's International Instructor's Course held at the Sheridan Uptown in Albuquerque. Attending the seminar from ENMTKD were: Mr. Steve A. Blakeley who hosted the event, Mr. John Bridges, Mr. Mark Hardage, Mr. Manuel Lucero, Ms. Audra Brown, Mr. Joshua Bullard, Ms. Jordan Roehl, Virgina Schmuck, and Keane Brown.

The course was historic in the fact that this was the first international course Master W.L. Lang has been given permission from the ITF to teach. This was also the only international course taught in the United States that three master instructors have combined efforts to teach. Master Mel Steiner, from Florida and Master Floyd Griffin for Oklahoma assisted in the course. This is the first and only International Instructor's Course that all 25 patterns were reviewed. This was also the first International Instructor's Course hosted by Yom Chi Taekwon-Do Association and the ITF America group.

50 black and red belts attended the course from seven states and the republic of Puerto Rico. The course included 17 hours of training and a luncheon with the masters. Red and black belt students attending the course received certificates form the International Taekwon-Do Federation of Canada, under the supervision of General Choi, Hong Hi's son, Master Choi, Jang Hwa, VIII Dan.
